Quinta Revira Volta

A Retreat Venue in the Mountains of Central Portugal

Tucked away in the green hills near Sertã, Quinta Revira Volta is a welcoming rural retreat surrounded by olive trees, fruit trees and the peaceful countryside of central Portugal.

With a beautifully restored main house, a separate guest house, gardens and a saltwater swimming pool, it offers space to slow down, spend time outdoors and enjoy good food in a relaxed setting.

The Accommodation

The Quinta has six bedrooms in the main house, with en-suite bathrooms in the upstairs rooms, alongside a spacious kitchen and dining area and a comfortable shared living room.

The separate Casinha Revira Volta has two bedrooms, a shared bathroom, its own kitchen and living space, and two private terraces.

Together, the properties offer different spaces to gather, relax and enjoy a stay in the countryside.

Space to Move and Unwind

There is a dedicated yoga room for group classes, with the option of practising on the poolside deck when the weather allows.

The saltwater swimming pool measures 12 by 5 metres, with sun loungers, a lounge area and an outdoor barbecue space nearby. The surrounding gardens, olive grove and fruit trees provide room to wander, sit outside or simply enjoy a little time away from everyday life.

Good Food, Shared Together

Food is an important part of the experience at Quinta Revira Volta. The owners bring 25 years of experience in catering and restaurants, and offer full-board or half-board options for retreat groups.

Marilyn Parris is the in-house chef at Quinta Revira Volta. Born in Suriname, South America, she grew up surrounded by the rich and varied flavours of Surinamese cuisine, influenced by African, Indian, Chinese, Creole, English and Portuguese traditions.

Now living in Portugal, Marilyn also enjoys Asian, Arabic and Mediterranean cuisine, as well as discovering similarities between Portuguese and Surinamese cooking. Her love of food reflects the wonderful mix of cultures and flavours that come together around the table.

Meals are prepared at the venue, with dietary requirements and food intolerances discussed in advance.

A Place to Gather

Whether you are joining a retreat, taking part in a group activity or simply looking for time away in the Portuguese countryside, Quinta Revira Volta offers a relaxed setting to share good food, enjoy the outdoors and take a little space for yourself.

This is a place to slow down, reconnect and enjoy the simple pleasures of time well spent.
